We now have our very own Spence Genealogist in the shape of Colleen Spence PLCGS
( Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies).
I'm sure we all wish Colleen well, and take this opportunity to congratulate her on the years of work that have contributed to this very much sought-after qualification.

Family Trees are being researched worldwide. We have discovered links from the past that root us to a place and to people sharing a name. That name is Spence.

Spences originally came from Scotland, were planted in Ireland, then became migrants to countries worldwide. We are connected through our name and have made new friendships that have enriched our lives today. Our common interest in genealogy has amassed a huge data-base of information. We plan to save it for future generations who at present may not be as interested in it as we are.

Our website will offer a place to share, to meet, to encounter living Spences and those no longer with us. Our aim is to retain a place in our world that is dedicated to the family,our family,THE SPENCE FAMILY.

Together, we are building this website to encourage others to share their interest in genealogy and contribute to the greater knowledge  and understanding of past generations.We hope you enjoy our web pages and find them interesting and informative.
