Hope to meet you at the Spence Reunion 2009!! I'm Carol Sangster. I descend from Alexander Spence and his wife Esther Edwards through their daughter, Elizabeth. He was known as 'little Alex' and died in Ireland. His widow then emigrated to Canada along with her sons and two daughters.'My' Spences emigrated to Canada in 1844 when David Spence, son of Alexander and Esther came to join his aunt and uncle, Susan Spence and John Arnott who had come to Churchville, Peel County, Ontario, in 1821. He later moved to Laurel, Amaranth, Wellington County, Ontario. I am descended from David's sister, Elizabeth. I am married to Jim and have three sons, Russell, Scott and Michael. We have four grandchildren, Brian, Elizabeth, Meghan and Emma. We were both born in Canada but have lived in San Diego, California, for sixteen years. Our son, Michael, lives in Ottawa, Canada, and Russ and Scott both live in San Diego.My husband, Jim, and I plan to attend the reunion next May. A second cousin of mine is also interested so there are two more Spence descendants who may show up.I am looking forward to meeting other relatives, however distant. I'm Jacinta Spence. I descend from William Alexander Spence. I'm Graeme Warnock. My grandmother was Annie Spence, daughter of William Alexander Spence. I hope to come to Ireland next year and meet some of my Spence relations. |
